About

Jeff Winkworth is a graduate of both Seneca College’s Computer Programming & Analysis and Sheridan College’s Interactive Multimedia Post Diploma program. He has been dabbling in amateur web design since 1996 when he first discovered the web. By 1999 he was playing with stylesheets, and in 2003 was developing dynamic CSS-driven websites in PHP, following web accessibility standards.

He has experience programming in C/C++, Java, VB/C# and the .NET framework. Jeff also has designed and implemented database-driven websites using MSSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.

Currently, Jeff is working for TVO as a New Media Specialist in Corporate Development and Strategy, developing Flash-based web applications. Jeff stays up to date using current technologies such as ActionScript 3 professionally and C# using Visual Studio 2005 independently. He is also a really nice guy, and likes to watch movies.

Jeff is striving to become a better programmer. This blog, while set up as a manditory requirement during his time in IMM, is planning to be used to document his progress. While some of the content here will be tutorials relating to his current exploits at TVO developing widgets, he is also planning on musing about technology, trends, and theory.
